If you’ve been to Helsingborg before, you’ve surely heard of ”Taking a Tura.” But what in the world does that mean? It’s a local expression for taking the ferry across the sound to Helsingör – without getting off! You can go back and forth as many times as you like and take the opportunity to enjoy “two red and a green” (or, two Danish hot dogs and a Tuborg beer) at the same time.
There is no real reason why you shouldn’t get off in Helsingör, though. In fact, you should probably spend a few hours strolling around the quaint streets, order some open-faced sandwiches for lunch and buy a few genuine Danish pastries to take home with you. If you’re looking for a bit of culture, stop in at Kronborg Castle, Maritime Museum or The Culture Yard.
