You will find many of the large chain stores on Kullagatan and Stortorget. Exciting alternative shops can be found a little further to the south. Gamla stan, or the Old Town, dates back to the Middle Ages and has lots of quaint narrow streets and alleys to discover. On Bruksgatan with its unique atmosphere, you will find quirky shops alongside small cafés and trendy bars. Take a seat at one of the restaurants at Maria Torg, or Maria square, who offers you a delicious dinner in beautiful green surroundings righ next to the old Church of S:t Mary.
Kullagatan which leads to Stortorget square is Sweden’s oldest pedestrianised street. Shoppers will find everything here from local shops to major fashion chains. And if you wish to relax for a while, there is always a café close by.

Leave the traditional shops behind for a while and head to the city’s southern district where you will find alternative, unusual and trendy shops. The market on Gustav Adolfs torg is the place to go for fruit and vegetables, colourful flowers and fresh herbs and spices.
Drottninggatan is Helsingborg’s most exclusive avenue. The major cultural attractions are located here, along with a number of antique shops an galleries, restaurants and pleasant bars.
